Planting For Your Future

Genesis 26:12 Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the Lord blessed him. 13 The man began to prosper, and continued prospering until he became very prosperous.  At one time Isaac was faced with a bad famine, but God told him to stay and plant seed. His harvest during the time of the drought was a hundredfold.

This was because he was directed by the Lord and obeyed Him. Isaac’s neighbors planted nothing that year, and when the harvest came the Philistines envied him because they had no crops.

They had to come to him to buy his crops if they wanted to stay alive. Later on the people ran out of money, and exchanged their animals for food. When they ran out of animals they had to work for the very man they hated. You might be in a time of unemployment or illness, don’t look at your lack, but look to the Lord to provide seed.
